Teachers’ Lounge

One of our earliest projects was remodeling the Teachers’ Lounge at Ruby Carver Elementary School. The original team of 6 provided demo work, painting the room, replacing the ceiling tiles, installing the cabinets with sink and faucet. We had a decorating team from Hope Thrift help with all of the furnishings. The teachers were thrilled with the results, and so were we.

Mobile Home Repairs

This was another project that the original 6 team members completed at the mobile home of the janitor at a local golf course. The leaking window caused water damage to the surrounding wall and flooring. The flooring, subfloor, wall framing, and wall panels were demolished and replaced.

Hope Thrift Store

Hope Thrift was the “birth place” of SIG-6!! It all began by assembling metal shelves in the receiving bay, followed by mounting wall shelves and a mirror in the Break Room. SIG-6 has continued its relationship with Hope Thrift on several other handyman jobs including wall mounted display shelves, running communication cabling, modifying display cases, etc. It is always a joy to help Hope Thrift whenever we can.

Hope Church

SIG-6 has completed many projects at Hope Church. The decorative wood panel wall in the Main Concourse and the Scaffold Platform for Jingle Jam are a few of the projects on the list. There are several more which are depicted on this site.

Bunk Bed Assembly

A set of bunk beds were assembled for a needy mom with two foster boys.

Acoustical Wall Treatment

SIG-6 was asked to install the acoustical wall treatment in a confernece room to improve teleconferencing calls and to enhance the room’s appearance.

“I AM” Letters for Sermon Series

The SIG-6 Team was commissioned to make two sets of letters for the “I AM” Sermon Series – Summer of 2026. One set for the Concourse and one set for the Main Auditorium Stage. The letters are 12 feet tall with 24 inch strokes and 12 inch depth. This was a major undertaking and one the team is very proud of and trusts it speaks to others about the majesty of Jesus Christ.

Replacing Appliances and Repairs

We replaced a dishwasher and a toilet for a single mom with Foster Care children. We also repaired a busted door jamb and patched a drywall ceiling.

Helping Install a Handicap Ramp

SIG-6 team members assisted a ministry that installs handicap ramps. The family member reached out to SIG-6 on behalf of her elderly father.

The Wonka Whirlwind Machine

We were asked to build a 4-station whirlwind machine for the 2025 Jingle Jam at Hope Church.

Jingle Jam Mall Motif

SIG-6 built the scaffold platforms which were used for the mall storefront in the 2024 Jingle Jam Production.

Appliance Repair

We helped one of friends by replacing the garbage disposal in her kitchen.

Building “Prayer Panels”

We were tasked with developing two Prayer Panels for church members to place a prayer request card for a need, or for a member to take a prayer request card and pray for that need.

Delivering Bunk Beds

SIG-6 has teamed up with the Sleep In Heavenly Peace Ministry to assist with delivering and setting up beds for kids who are sleeping on couches, air mattresses, or even the floor. Our team has also volunteered at their Build A Bed Work Day sessions.

A Unique Swing in a Sensory Room

SIG-6 had to use its “ingenuity” to develop an anchored mounting point for the swing in a Sensory Room. It had to be connected to the structure above and yet penetrate the suspended ceiling.
