The SIG-6 – Senior Ingenuity Group started when John, Ron, Ken E, Bert, David, and Ken C. volunteered to help out our church thrift store by assembling metal shelving in the summer of 2023 at the request of the manager. We then got together for a “small job” to replace some flooring in a resident’s trailer, the custodian at a local golf club – which was more than just flooring!! We soon realized that there are “those on the margins” that Jesus calls us to take care of – the poor, the widows, the orphans, and the foreigners (the Quartet of the Vulnerable). We also help faith based organizations. And thus, we began our journey by volunteering to help others with handyman tasks. We have since involved ourselves with projects and tasks where we have helped others, by “being the hands and feet of Jesus”!!!
